Sun Ra, well he is from Saturn, is one of the forgotten and yet most influential Jazz and American music composers of our time, its just that it seems the main stream couldn't get over both his completely foreign approach to composition song structure as well as subtitles of black nationalism seemed to cement him as one of the largely unrecognized fathers of the new jazz movements.

Sun Ra with his Arkastra took the world by storm, and if it wasn't for my freshmen room mate and his American Airlines plastic headphone turned up full blast, i would never realized space was the place. Below are a few other videos, i found on my Sunday Morning journey to space.
